I always heard people said that unit trust cannot make money.
this is not true. click here
why people lose money in unit trust because they leave it with fund manager.
You should always treat unit trust like your stocks.

eg. If china is not doing well and US is doing well, we can always shift our money to US unit trust.
We are RETAIL INVESTOR not fund manager, fund managers have no choice but to keep on invest according to their job scope.
